Mowbray Leather Goods develops and manufactures bags, belts and small leather goods for private-label clients at our factory in Melton Mowbray, England. Whether you have an initial idea or a detailed technical pack, we can discuss the development and manufacturing support your project needs.

Reviewing the project
We begin by considering the design, construction, materials and quantities to assess whether the project suits our capabilities. This is also an opportunity to discuss commercial requirements and identify any development work needed before production can be priced.
Development and sampling
We work with you to develop the details of your product while keeping the character of your design in mind. Sampling provides an opportunity to review the construction, proportions, materials and finish before committing to a production run.
The scope of development, sample requirements and any revisions should be agreed at the outset. Development and sampling costs are considered separately from production pricing.
Choosing materials
We can help you consider leather options suited to your product, or work with leather you supply to coordinate with an existing collection. Materials need to be considered alongside the construction, intended use and desired finish.
Let us know which materials and components are already specified and where you would like support. Sourcing requirements and availability can then be discussed as part of the brief.
Agreeing production
Before production goes ahead, the product specification, materials, quantities, pricing and schedule need to be agreed. Branding, finishing and packaging requirements should also be included in those discussions.
Minimum quantities and timings depend on the product and the work involved. We can discuss these once we understand your requirements, rather than applying the same assumptions to every project.
Manufacturing and quality control
Our team combines traditional leatherworking skills with contemporary equipment. Quality checks form part of the process, from inspecting incoming leather to reviewing finished goods and preparing them for packaging.
