Mowbray Leather Goods develops and manufactures bags, belts and small leather goods for your brand. From our factory in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, we work with designers, established brands and independent businesses to turn their ideas into finished products.
Your starting point may be an initial sketch, a reference sample or a detailed technical pack. We help you develop the construction, choose suitable materials and establish a specification for manufacture.
Made to your design
Private-label manufacturing means making products for your brand, to your requirements. We begin with the product you want to create and consider its appearance, intended use, construction and place within your collection.
Bags: Bespoke manufacture to your design, with the materials, construction and finishing details considered together.
Belts: Development and manufacture that bring the leather, buckle, dimensions and finish into a coherent product.
Small leather goods: Products developed around your design, with attention to proportions, construction and the details that give the piece its character.
Each project is assessed individually. Share your proposed product, quantities and materials so we can establish whether it is a suitable fit for our factory.
Product development
A design needs to work as a finished product and as something that can be made consistently. We work with you to resolve construction details while preserving the look and feel you want for your brand.
You can bring drawings, a sample or technical information such as CAD files and a bill of materials. We will review what is available and discuss the development needed before production.
Leather and materials
The leather you choose influences a product’s appearance, feel and construction. We can help you consider suitable options for your design, or review leather you supply to coordinate with an existing collection.
Materials are considered alongside the product specification rather than in isolation. Requirements for components, finishing and packaging can be discussed as part of the brief.
Manufacture and finishing
Our Melton Mowbray factory combines traditional leatherworking skills with contemporary equipment. Quality checks run through the manufacturing process, from the leather received at the factory to the finished products and their packaging.
The specification provides the basis for the work. Materials, construction, quantities and finishing requirements should be agreed before a production run begins.
